Yodel service update and price reduction of Parcel Force 48 service

We are now not expecting to be offering any Yodel services until the new year. Rather than make false promises to you, we thought it better to manage your expectations and if we can have the services live again sooner, then this can come as good news as and when it happens.

As this leaves a gap in the services that we offer, we have decided to slash the cost of our Parcel Force 48 Service to £10.99 plus VAT for the month of December only. This option will be offered on our quote page when you enter the weight and dimensions of your parcel if your parcel qualifies for the service.

We thank you for your continued patience and support and hope to have all service back to normal as quickly as possible.

Suspension of Yodel services

We have had to remove all Yodel services from our site for the time being. All other services remain in place and are running as usual. We are advised that the Yodel services should be available again early next week but this is not yet confirmed. We will keep you informed as we learn more and would like to take this opportunity to apologise for any inconvenience caused.

City Link no longer offering same day collections

We apologise for the fact that we have not been able to give you any notice on this at all. We were informed late yesterday that City Link have decided to stop offering a same day collection service as the number of failed collections was too high and it was impacting on their ability to offer the best level of customer service possible. The cut off time for the City Link services is now the same as the Yodel services which is 10pm the night before the required collection date. If we get any further updates, or there are any other changes to the services we offer, we will try and give you as much notice as possible. We apologise if this has caused you any inconveience.

Changes to our Euro Plus services

We have just made some great changes to the way you book European deliveries. You can now book your Euro collection right up to 1pm on the day of collection! In order to provide this service, we book these orders with DHL in the same way as an international delivery which means you will be given a barcode address label to print off and attach to your parcel. There will be a link to this label on the order confirmation page, and also within the confirmation email that you receive. If you have any questions about this, or any other of our services, please give us a call.

Same Day Collections Are Back!

We are very pleased to tell you that with immediate effect same day collections are back! We have been negotiating with City Link and have agreed a cut off time of 11:30am for their next day delivery service. This means if you book a collection before 11:30am, City Link will collect it the same day, and then have it delivered the next day for you. This gives you the ability to offer a fantastic parcel delivery service to your customers.

Change to Maximum Weight on Economy Service

Our City Link economy service has been restricted to parcels weighing no more than 15kg up to now with different price bands for parcels between 15kg-20kg, 20kg-25kg and 25kg-30kg. This has now changed for the better. The maximum weight for the economy service is now 20kg still at the same low price of £7.99 plus VAT. The price for the 20kg-25kg service has been reduced from £10.40 plus VAT to just £9.49 plus VAT. The cost for the 25kg-30kg service is the same at £11.50 plus VAT, however, the Yodel service for parcels of this weight is £9.99 plus VAT. We hope you agree this is all great news!

DHL

If you have read any of our recent communications, you will know that DHL Domestic has merged with the Home Delivery Network to become Yodel. This new brand is now managing all domestic collections and deliveries within the UK whilst the DHL brand is focusing on European and International collections and deliveries.

As a result of these changes, you will notice that our branding for the domestic services will show as Yodel, and the prices will change over the next few days as per our previous communications, although they have not increased as much as we first thought. There will be further changes to the Yodel service over the coming weeks. The main change will be the removal of the 48 hour service altogether. When this happens, we will keep the price for the 24 hour service as low as possible.

New Service

Here at Clickaparcel, we never stand still and will always work hard to offer the best choice of parcel delivery services to our customers at the best possible prices. We have been negotiating recently with a new carrier and are pleased to say that we will be offering City Link services on our web site from Friday 17th June 2011.

City Link pricing works slightly differently, as there are price bands for the actual weight of your parcel as well as the size of it. The prices start at just £7.99 plus VAT for up to 15kg and this is for a next day delivery service. We believe this offers excellent value for money for our customers. For those of you who send parcels regularly that are 15kg or less, this news means that your courier costs will actually go down slightly rather than up.

There are further price points for up to 20kg, up to 25kg and up to 30kg and then another pricing model for anything that is larger than normal like bumpers.

Discounts

As we are doing our best to keep prices as low as we possibly can for everyone, we have decided to amend our pricing structure so that everyone benefits from the lowest price possible. This means that if you are a registered user of ours and are used to receiving a 5 percent discount off our normal prices, you will notice the message telling you that the discount has been applied will only show on International courier services as everyone will be getting the discount on UK parcel delivery services automatically.
