I am waiting to recieve a package from DHL. On the parcel tracking page it says

Parcel with courier for delivery

Out for delivery

Passed to delivery courier

Will I get my parcel delivery today?

Answer:

Yes, this status means the parcel on the drivers van and you should have the parcel delivered by 6pm this afternoon. The only times that delivery fails is when the driver can’t find the address that is on the parcel and so he has to take it back to the depot, or if you are not in when the driver calls.

If you have a parcel delivery requirement that can’t be dealt with by our normal servies, this doesn’t mean we definitely can’t do it for you.

As an example, we took a call from a customer today who had a dashboard of a car that he wanted to send to USA. The dimensions of the item meant that we could not use any of our nornal parcel delivery services and so we had to get a bespoke quote for him. We used our contacts in the courier industry to find a provider that could help and we managed to get a quote for the job in a couple of hours.

We can also get a quote for you if you have a parcel that needs to be collected outside of the UK and then get delivered somewhere else outside of the UK.

Whatever the need is, just let us know and we will do our best to get you the best price possible. There are some basic bits of information we will need to get a quote for you so please have this information for us when you call. We need to know the weight and dimensions of your parcel exactly. Then we need to know the country, county/state and postal/zip code for collection and also the same information for delivery. Finally we need to know what is inside the box and then we have all we need to obtain a parcel delivery quote for you.

I’m new to selling stuff online and have just sold my first item on eBay. The box is too big to take to the post office. Will a courier come and collect my parcel from my house or will i have to drop it off somewhere?

They will deliver on a Saturday as long as you paid the online company for a Saturday delivery service. This service is more expensive than a standard parcel delivery so it is very unlikely that you will receive your parcel at the weekend unless you specifically requested it and paid the extra.
