One Parcel Delivery Instead Of Two?
It makes sense that if you have two items to send that are not too large, then you should tape them together so you only have to pay for one parcel delivery instead of two.
Whilst this can be a good idea, it does have its probelms. If a courier company collects something from you which is two items secured together to make one, and it comes apart during transit, you won’t be able to claim on the insurance if either or both items then get lost. It is not the driver who collects the parcel to make the decision for you about this, it is entlirely up to you. A driver will simply collect the item from you, the packaging is your responsibility.
If you do have two items that you would like to send as one parcel, then we strongly recommend that you put them into one box. Even if you have two boxes of the same size to send, DO NOT tape them together, put them both into a larger box. This way you can just pay for the one parcel delivery service and still claim on the insurance should anything go wrong.
